I am the same — it takes *a lot* to get me to drive to the Westside for dinner. In fact, West is halfway between the Valley and the Westside/Santa Monica so I deem it a perfect meeting place for peeps on either side of the hill who don’t get to see each other v often.

I also had the choc cake (mine had a molten caramel center – yum!) and Josh (chef) told me there was black pepper in it. Really unusual. I kinda like that he takes risks like that.

I thought your review was really well-written and fair.
