Next time try the Benedict (the potato cake is to die for and the house-cured salmon–oh my!) or the club (the Neuske bacon is ridiculously good). I would also say that the service is uniformly friendly, helpful and genuine–which is a HUGE selling point!

it sounds like you really wanted to like this place but it didn’t quite live up its potential. i kinda feel the same way, yet i keep going back. i suppose that says something.

Bummer about the mushy granola, but that fruit looks amazing. I have no idea how you’re supposed to eat that sandwich. I usually get the pecan pancakes.

Square One isn’t in Silverlake though. That’s pretty much smack in the middle of Hollywood.
