Douglas: Ha! Guess I should beware of putting pics of unsuspecting people on my blog- I hope you don't mind:). I agree the festival was the perfect size; there was a bit of elbowing going on at some of the counters but it would have been out of control had it been bigger. Glad you had fun!

Steve S: Bummed I missed the pickle stand...can't say I am a fan of marshmallows, and I've had the homemade kind (I live down the street from Little Flower Co). Some of my pics didn't turn out since I believe a little thing called my FINGER was blocking the lens, ha. I must have been on a sugar high.

You hit most of what I considered the highlights of the event, but you missed (or just didn't write about) Plush Puffs Gourmet Marshmallows or the Chicks with Knives pickle shop. The best salty/savory I had and the best sweet bite. Can't wait to break into my haul.

I went on Saturday with my 12-year-old son and a good friend. We all agreed that it was an excellent event with lots of opportunities to taste and talk with the vendors. I was blown away by how interested everyone was to talk with people and share their take on their products. I would definitely attend again.

I had to laugh when I see myself, my son and my friend in your blog photo. We were just getting started on Saturday, but we have such a look of determination to get the most out of the day.

The smallish size of the event was just about perfect. Too often in LA we tend to blow events into huge productions. I find events of this size and scope much more enjoyable. I would much rather see several smaller events than one large one. Heck, as it was, we were stuffed by the end of our 2.5 hours at the show. I don’t think I could have tasted anything else had I stayed the rest of the day. (LAUGH)
